Sappi is offering an opportunity to provide training at the operational level in various plants in order to equip recently qualified diplomates with the necessary skill needed to progress within this industry.
The main responsibilities of this job are:
- Perform operations in various plants
- Complete work according to standard operating procedures
- Operate auxiliary systems according to standard operating procedures
- Complete on the job training to get exposure in the production process
- Assist in operational duties within the plant in order to gain experience
- Apply all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
The ideal candidate should have:
- NQF Level 4 (Grade 12)
- National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering
- BSc Environmental Science or BTech Environmental Science / Management
- S4 or National Diploma in Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering
- Relevant Supply Chain Degree or equivalent qualification
- Computer Literacy
- In compliance with the Department of Employment and Labour’s directive of 11 June 2021, Sappi’s risk assessment has identified this role as requiring mandatory Covid-19 vaccination as an inherent requirement of the job.
