CATHSSETA (Culture, Arts, Tourism, Hospitality, and Sport Sector Education and Training Authority) invites applications for its Administration and Management Internships for 2025. This is a valuable opportunity for recent graduates and young professionals to gain hands-on experience in the public sector while contributing to the development of South Africa’s workforce.
Internship Overview
The internship will run until 31 March 2027 and offers a monthly stipend of R5,600. Interns will support various administrative and management functions in alignment with DHET and SETA standards.
Key Responsibilities
As an intern in the Administration and Management Department, you will:
- Receive, verify, and validate learner documentation
- Capture quality-checked data according to DHET Validation Framework Guidelines
- Scan and file validated documents using SETMIS capturing standards
- Communicate validation anomalies to stakeholders and specialists
- Notify stakeholders of registration outcomes
- Maintain organized and compliant learner records (manual and electronic)
- Label and file learner performance documentation according to SOPs
- Prepare audit samples (DHET/AG/IA QMR) for review
- Draft and route documents for specialist approval
- Organize meetings and take detailed, accurate minutes
- Manage travel requests and specialist expense claims
- Support process efficiency initiatives and report preparation
- Validate allocation letters and contracts prior to submission
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
- Respond to internal and external audit queries
