Applications are now open for the Cellphone Repair Learnership Program 2025, a fully-funded training opportunity designed to equip unemployed youth with practical, job-ready skills in cellphone and mobile device repair.
This hands-on program, spearheaded by the Vaal University of Technology E-Skills CoLab in partnership with NEMISA, DCDT, NYDA, and HCLS, offers more than just training – it’s a stepping stone toward entrepreneurship and employment.

Learnership Entry Requirements – Who Can Apply?
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Unemployed and a resident of Soweto
- Valid South African ID
- Aged between 18 and 35 years
- Matric Certificate:
- Minimum 40% in Mathematics, or
- Minimum 50% in Mathematical Literacy
- Able to attend full-time, in-person classes
- Committed to the full 4-week program

- Duration: 4 Weeks (Monday to Friday)
- Class Times: 08h30 – 16h30
- Location: Phiri Skills Centre, Soweto
- Mode of Learning: Face-to-face, practical sessions
