Purpose of the Data Capturer Learnership Programme
The 2025 Data Capturer Learnership Programme aims to support the Data Quality Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Coordinator by accurately capturing, updating, and consolidating critical data from healthcare facilities and partner organizations. This role ensures the timely submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports—essential for decision-making in HIV, AIDS, and STI programs.
Minimum Requirements for Data Capturer Learnership 2025
To qualify for the Data Capturer Learnership, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent
- Aged between 18 and 24 years
- Background or strong interest in HIV, AIDS, STI, or public health
- Must reside near the assigned health facility
- Self-motivated and committed to attending all training sessions
- Able to complete portfolio work for accredited training
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Able to communicate effectively in English (isiXhosa is an added advantage)
- Must have a clear criminal record
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As a Data Capturer Learner, your main responsibilities will include:
- Capturing and updating facility and partner data
- Consolidating data into weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Ensuring data is formatted and structured correctly for reporting
- Maintaining a submission register for each health facility
- Following up on late or missing data with M&E coordinators and other team members
- Supporting interaction between project teams, Department of Health, and THC staff
- Performing filing, documentation, and administrative duties as needed
