This 12-month learnership is focused on the Clearing and Forwarding Agent NQF Level 5 qualification and is designed to provide both theoretical training and practical workplace experience in the freight forwarding and logistics sector.
About the DHL Learnership Programme
The DHL Learnership Programme offers young South Africans the chance to gain valuable industry-related skills, work exposure, and improve their future employability in the logistics and supply chain environment. Participants will be trained and mentored by industry experts while contributing to real business operations within DHL’s South African operations.
This one-year accredited learnership aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, focusing on import/export processes, freight documentation, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities of DHL Learnership Candidates
As a learner in this programme, you will:
- Assist with the import and export documentation process under direct supervision.
- Handle routine administrative duties, including document receiving, reconciling, and summarizing freight information.
- Support the team with data capturing, filing, scanning, and reporting.
- Follow DHL’s standard operational procedures and systems to ensure efficient task execution.
- Interact and collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Communicate basic task-related information clearly and effectively.
- Address any minor work-related issues in a professional manner to maintain a positive work environment.
DHL Learnership 2025 Entry Requirements
Prospective applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Must have a Grade 12/Matric certificate with English as a subject.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 30 years old.
- Must be a South African citizen with a valid ID.
- Basic computer skills (especially in MS Office) will be advantageous.
