JMPD Training Programme 2025 – Entry Requirements
To qualify for the JMPD Metro Police training in 2025, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Possess a valid Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
- Reside within the Johannesburg Metropolitan area – original proof of residence is required
- Must have a valid South African driver’s license (minimum Code B) – no learner’s licenses accepted
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35 years
- Must be physically and mentally fit – a comprehensive medical certificate must accompany the application
- Must not have a criminal record or any civil judgments involving fraud or corruption
- Willing to undergo biometric and background checks, including vetting processes
- Must be fluent in English
- Willing and able to carry a firearm and wear a police uniform
- Must be able to pass a pre-training fitness assessment
