About Liberty Learnerships 2025
The purpose of the Liberty Learnership Programme is to introduce fresh, emerging talent into the financial services sector. The programme is designed to address South Africa’s need for scarce and critical skills by developing future professionals who are committed to high standards and continuous learning.
This 12-month learnership programme, based in Johannesburg, offers successful candidates the opportunity to:
- Gain formal, hands-on work experience in the financial industry.
- Obtain a nationally accredited qualification in either Wealth Management or Insurance Underwriting.
- Enhance their employability and career prospects in South Africa’s growing financial services market.
Minimum Requirements for Liberty Learnership 2025
To qualify for the 2025 Liberty Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen
- Aged between 18 and 35 years old
- Not permanently employed at the time of applying
- Not registered for any other learnership, internship, or full-time studies
- Must have completed Grade 12 (Matric) with:
- English and Mathematics as subjects
- Business Studies or Economics as added advantages
- Must not hold a tertiary qualification
- Must currently reside in Johannesburg
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar customer service or administrative environment is beneficial
Qualification Offered
- Wealth Management Learnership – NQF Level 5
- Insurance Underwriting Learnership – NQF Level 4
Both qualifications are aligned with industry standards and are nationally recognized.
