Peermont’s Education Trust has opened bursary applications for 2025. This forms part of the socioeconomic mandate by providing Financial Assistance to the youth within the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area.
Through the Peermont Education Trust, the foundation invites applications for the prestigious bursary to study at tertiary institutions in Gauteng.
The company provides financial assistance to students in need, aiming to help them access higher education and achieve their career goals.
This initiative reflects Peermont’s commitment to investing in the future of young people by removing barriers to educational opportunities and fostering talent within the community. The Trust is offering bursaries to the City of Ekurhuleni youth, who permanently reside in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan area, to pursue Full time undergraduate studies in their chosen field.
Bursaries will be awarded to students residing within the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area (Gauteng), for undergraduate studies in ANY field, at tertiary institutions in Gauteng.

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses:
- Registration fees,
- Tuition fees,
- Prescribed books and/or study material
- Accommodation.
Bursaries will be awarded based on 2 main criteria:
- Academic excellence
- Financial need (combined annual household income).
The bursary is renewable annually, based on academic results.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:
- You must be a South African citizen
- You must permanently reside within the Ekurhuleni metropolitan area, in Gauteng province
- You must be studying or accepted to study at an accredited tertiary institution based in Gauteng
- Your study programme must NOT be less than 1 year
Required Documents:
Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your application:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric/NSC results, if completed Matric
- Full academic record including latest results, if currently studying
- Proof of residence in Ekurhuleni (copy of a utilities account)
- Parents or guardians proof of income (latest salary or wage slips if employed / affidavit if unemployed / affidavit stating annual income if self-employed / death certificates if deceased)
