Key Responsibilities of the Human Capital Intern:
As a Human Capital Intern at Sanlam, you will play an active role in supporting the full spectrum of the employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting in-depth research on Human Resources topics to help shape and refine workplace policies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Demonstrating a proactive attitude in learning about different HR functions and processes across the employee journey, from onboarding to exit.
- Coordinating HR and talent-related activities in alignment with the company’s annual HR calendar.
- Creating and updating process documentation, internal guidelines, and standard operating procedures using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Exhibiting strong time management skills, ensuring all assigned tasks and projects are completed within set deadlines and with a high level of accuracy.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the Sanlam Human Capital Internship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management or any related field (Industrial Psychology, Labour Relations, or Organisational Development).
- Demonstrated experience or exposure to core HR functions, either through academic projects, internships, or entry-level roles.
