Learnership Overview – Traffic Trainee Jobs 2025
- Position: Traffic Officer Trainee (8 Learnership Positions)
- Department: Social Services – Traffic Division
- Location: Lephalale Municipality, Limpopo
- Annual Stipend: R100,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities of Traffic Officer Trainees
Successful applicants will undergo structured theoretical and practical training and will be responsible for:
- Traffic Management: Monitoring and controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic to ensure road safety and compliance with traffic regulations.
- Law Enforcement: Enforcing local by-laws and national road traffic legislation within the Lephalale jurisdiction.
- Training Attendance: Completing formal training at a traffic college approved by the municipality to become a qualified Traffic Officer.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the 2025 Traffic Officer Traineeship, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Educational Qualification: A completed Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Age Requirement: Must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of application.
- Driver’s License: A valid Code B (light motor vehicle) driver’s license, or proof of being in the process of obtaining one.
- Fitness & Health: Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of a traffic officer.
- Criminal Record Check: All applicants will undergo criminal background vetting.
