Key Responsibilities of a Truworths Learner
As part of the learnership, candidates will:
- Complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical, on-the-job training
- Gain knowledge and understanding of the retail environment
- Assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise
- Merchandise the store according to Truworths’ MBP (Merchandise Business Principles)
- Process customer payments and purchases via the POS (Point of Sale) system
- Open new customer accounts and promote store loyalty programs
- Support loss prevention initiatives and help maintain inventory accuracy
- Uphold high standards of customer service, safety, and store security
- Prepare for and pass regular assessments to become a qualified cross-trained retail sales consultant
