Position: Professional Bus Driver – Full-Time (2025)
About the Role
As a Unitrans Bus Driver, you will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently along established routes. You’ll ensure a safe and comfortable journey by following traffic laws, maintaining vehicle standards, and adhering to company policies and safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities of Unitrans Bus Driver Vacancies 2025:
- Transport passengers along scheduled routes, ensuring punctuality and safety
- Operate and monitor vehicle systems including lighting, heating, and ventilation
- Adhere to all road traffic laws and company driving policies
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any malfunctions
- Keep accurate logs of hours worked and events during the trip
- Ensure passenger compliance with safety rules
- Refuel and clean the vehicle regularly
- Participate in safety briefings and training sessions
- Report incidents, near misses, or property damage immediately
- Respect route guidelines and avoid unauthorized stops or deviations
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience as a professional driver (Passenger transport experience in the tourism industry is an advantage)
- Licensing: Valid driving license with one of the following categories: CE – G, CE – PG, or C – G
Other Requirements:
- Valid Public Driving Permit (PrDP)
- Knowledge of defensive and preventive driving techniques
- Understanding of road safety practices
- Strong commitment to customer service and company standards
