About the Vodacom E-Waste Learnership 2025
Vodacom has partnered with leaders in the e-waste management industry to offer a 12-month Learnership programme focused on developing young talent across Gauteng. This initiative is designed to empower unemployed youth with technical and soft skills essential for employment in the e-waste and environmental sustainability sectors.
Programme Highlights
- Location: Gauteng, South Africa
- Duration: 12-month fixed-term Learnership contract
- Industry: E-Waste Management & Environmental Sustainability
- Training: Practical experience, mentorship, and accredited skills development
- Stipend: Monthly stipend provided to cover basic living expenses
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Vodacom E-Waste Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Age: 18–35 years old
- Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) with Maths/Maths Literacy and Physical Science
- Background: Must come from a disadvantaged background (priority will be given to learners from Quintile 1-3 schools)
- Employment Status: Unemployed and not currently enrolled in any other educational or Learnership programme
- Citizenship: South African citizen with a valid SA ID
- Location: Must reside in Gauteng Province (proof of residence required)
- Skills: Basic computer literacy and effective communication (verbal and written)
- Personal Attributes: Motivated, willing to learn, and able to work in a team environment
