Waste Management Vacancies (X35 Posts) for Unemployed Youth at the Nkomazi Local Municipality

Nkomazi Local Municipality invites unemployed youth who meet all the necessary criteria to apply for the waste management vacancies 

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

Applicants must be South African youth citizens, particularly those born and bred within the boundaries of Nkomazi Municipality, with Valid South African Identity Document is required, good interpersonal and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Street cleaning and litter picking
  • Sweeping of walkways and paved areas
  • Illegal dump cleaning and skip bin residues
  • Participating in all clean-up campaigns
  • Grass cutting and garden maintenance within the municipal buildings and any other related duty

The Co-operative Governance& Traditional Affairs, in collaboration with Nkomazi Local Municipality invites residents of Nkomazi who are interested in the abovementioned Youth waste Management project to forward their particulars to the Municipality.

Applicants must be fulltime residents within the Nkomazi Local Municipality and must be between the age of 18-35 years.

Preferences:

  • 60 % Females
  • 40 % Males
  • 2% people with disability

These vacancies will be distributed across all 33 wards, ensuring fair access and opportunity for our community members. Please note that only one candidate per household will be considered for appointment. Any acts of fraud or dishonesty in the application process will result in immediate disqualification.

    Comprehensive (CV), certified copy ID and proof of residence.
  • All applications must be submitted to the municipal office (Malalane Civic Centre).
  • Upon submission, applicants must complete an attendance register available at the drop point.

Please take note: successful candidates will be required to sign a Twelve (12) month contract with the municipality.
