Salary: R 294,321.00 per annum
Requirements :
- Grade 12/ Level 4 Certificate/ National Vocational Certificate or equivalent.
- 3- 5 years’ experience in Public Sector transport services environmental.
- Minimum Valid Code 10 (C1) driver’s license with valid PrDP (willing to renew PrDP at own expense).
- Three years National Diploma/ Degree in Logistic management / Public Administration or Public Management / Fleet management will be an added advantage.
- Computer Literacy with practical knowledge of MS package (Word, Excel, Power point and internet).Must possess the ability to plan, organize, Inspect and evaluate work of drivers.
- Must be able to work shift (day, night, weekends and holidays).
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Have good interpersonal relations skills.
- Ready to relieve colleagues as the need arises and work closely with other disciplines.
Duties :
- Provide effective and efficient transport service in the hospital.
- Ensure that the section has Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).
- Supervise the daily activities of the unit, including daily allocation of vehicles to drivers for various destinations.
- Supervise and ensure that vehicle logbook and trip authorization for vehicles are completed. Trip routing and grouping to minimize expenditure, ware, and tear.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring inspection of the state vehicle and compiling of reports.
- Monthly completion of Form 6 and driver’s roster.
- Monthly reporting on usage of GG cars registers.
- Monthly reporting on kilometres travelled, petrol consumption, and oil.
- Reporting of accidents to management.
- Ensure that the department complies with standards of Ideal Hospital Realization Framework and expectation of OHSC in relation to transport.
- Take reports of accidents, theft, losses to Government garage. Ensuring continues training and development of staff.
- Responsible for personnel evaluation (PMDS) within regulated timelines and monitoring of attendance perform any other lawful duties as delegated by next level supervisor.
