About the Flight Attendants Learnerships Programme

There are people in the plane who help passengers to feel comfortable when they are traveling. Flight Attendants role do not change because of the planes they are working on, their roles remain the same whether it’s commercial planes or military aircraft their role is to make passengers feel more comfortable and safe. Requirements
Each company will have their own list of requirements that must be met by the individuals before they apply. Here we have compiled a list of some of the basic requirements that most companies will have. There may be additional requirements and these are usually found on the company?s website, the application, and the learnership advertisement.
Basic stipulation could include:
- Individuals must be a South African citizen
- All individuals must be between 20 and 35 years of age
- Individuals must hold a valid Grade 12 certification
- All individuals must have a valid ID document and Passport
- Individuals must be physically fit, medically fit and presentable
- All individuals must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Individuals must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
- All individuals must live close to an airport or be willing to relocate
