- Basic R 425 qualification, i.e., Diploma / Degree in nursing that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as Professional Nurse with midwifery. Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse with midwifery. Must be able to work within the ethical and legal framework that governs the profession. Candidates must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and work within a team in the maternity wards and theatre. Candidates must have good communication, leadership, and conflict management skills. Must be able to maintain patients and relative’s confidentiality, respect, and dignity.
Duties :
- Provision of optimal, holistic specialised nursing care with set standards and within a professional/ legal framework. Effective utilisation of Human and Material resources. Participation in training and research. Provision of support to Nursing services. Maintain professional growth, ethical standards, and self-development. Supervision and teaching of junior staff.
